Trainings concentrates on lessons and activities to use in the classroom as well as the methodology and teaching guidelines suggested in the program.  Each in-service can be tailored for the specific needs of the school staff. Attendees will come away with the keys to The Wanna Play Program including implimentation of positive social strategies at home and school.

Social Skills programs for Schools

The Wanna Play Program offers in-school programming for social skills training and behavior support.  Wanna Play offers many different training models to fit your schools needs.  Schools have the option to have Wanna Play trained facilitators instruct groups in the school setting for six to ten week blocks.  Wanna Play facilitators provide, classroom social skill training, individualized activities targeting specific needs, Corresponding materials and visual aids for children, Corresponding strategy sheets for teachers, Pre-program consultation, Post-program consulting and strategy training.  Another training models involves Wanna Play staff training and supporting your schools staff in setting up their own social skills programs.  Your school staff will be trained in the time tested Strategies and Techniques use in The Wanna Play Program and given the technical support for start up and successful running of your program.  School can be provided with supervisory training for  program leaders in your school, curriculum develop and technical support, ongoing  feedback and training on implementation of the program and in-service training for entire school staff to promote consistency.  It is the best way to make positive social behavior and strong part of your school culture. Guest Speakers

Beth Roberts and Ruth Ross are available to speak at parent support groups, conferences and events to present goals of The Wanna Play Program and other topics regarding social development and Behavior Support.  Presentations are intended for parents, teachers and service professionals.  All who attend will leave with tools and strategies that will help any child grow into their social self.
