Internships for Professionals or Undergrads

Internship for Professionals

The Wanna Play Program Internships for professionals are developed to help professionals enhance their skills assign and remediation children’s social and behavioral needs in individual settings as well as in group sessions.

Commitment Requirement

  • 4-8 hrs week for three to six months
  • Minimum of 75 hours
  • Assist in Group and Individual Social Sessions
  • Prepare and Implement Social Lessons with supervision.

Internships for Undergrads

Children playing in costumes The Wanna Play Program Internships is designed to give students hands on experience working with children with special needs. The interns are involved in all aspects of the program here at Wanna Play and are considered members of our staff. Most of the work will be administrative but during every internship there will be direct work with children (3 – 15) with special needs working on social skills training in lesson and activity development. Interns are involved in assisting with planning, running and note taking/reporting for group and individual sessions. Interns are giving an orientation and receive on going training through observation and feedback. We summer invited to be a part oftraining programs for parents and professionals that we offer through the year.
